Q Do Sweeney’s Cruises sail all year round?
A Yes, though a reduced timetable operates in winter.
Q Do you ever cancel cruises?
A Very rarely severe weather such as high winds and fog can lead to cruises being cancelled. This is highly unlikely during the summer months and those affected would receive a full refund or if preferred, tickets to use on another day.
Q Do I have to book or can I just turn up?
A If you know when you would like to visit tickets can be purchased online to avoid disappointment. However if you’d like to decide on the day our ticket office at our base in Balloch sells daily tickets for all cruises. During winter months cruises can be subject to demand so tickets can be purchased on board.
Q Do the boats have disabled access?
A Sweeney’s Cruises strive to offer every assistance to disabled passengers. The boat we would recommend to any wheelchair user is the Astina – please call in advance for advice. Due to health and safety reasons, electric wheelchairs, regrettably, cannot be accommodated.
Q What will the weather be like?
A The weather in Scotland can change every 10 minutes. All our boats have enclosed areas so that Loch Lomond can be enjoyed in hail, rain or shine. You can check the weather forecast on our website www.sweeneyscruises.com
Q Are dogs allowed?
A Yes - well behaved dogs are allowed at no additional cost.
Q Are bikes allowed?
A Yes - our vessels can accommodate bikes. And, new for 2016, bikes are available for hire on-site.
Q Why are there no concession prices?
A Our base prices are kept low to reflect the large number of elderly & disabled passengers we carry. We don't have 2 price brackets to keep things as simple as possible.
